And just what's the matter with being self-centered as contrasted with being selfish?
...it makes you Baptist.
Most educated people know that what is called the golden rule originated not with the Bible but long before that foolishness was conceived.
Do you ever wear a glove, and pretend it?s somebody else?
LMFAO *dead* I'm totally imagining you saying this too, btw.
my bad I think we agree completely, science doesn't reject the unknown or blindly accept unsupported claims. I think the OP agrees too.
Hah! That was my question!
do any of you own a Nespresso? i'm finally buying stuff for the house, and as we all know, I like my aesthetics... I need a sexy and compact coffee machine for other people. [i don't drink coffee]. was thinking of the Citiz, but want to know if it's worth it... or what are some alternatives?
Certainly if he did exist, he didn't have a wizard who could do magic. That is just ridiculous.
They are working on it. We'll see. If he were in jail it wouldn't matter to me at all who promoted his music.
it's true. No believer or atheist can claim they 'know'. If you are, you are being dishonest
People dismiss prophecy but it hasn't been demonstrated and people like you only count the positive hits and ignore the misses. This entire argument has been about being able to demonstrate something. You accept things without it the rest of us don't.
Its the rules here at BN which I politely suggest you go read now.
Might be there, but it's pretty damn cold here. Unfortunately. *sighs*
I took the time to read the snopes and telegraph links you provided. All they are doing is saying that this might be a "hoax". So I went to other local news outlets and found the story elsewhere, and also a similar case in BC Canada. If a hoax, its unfortunate that someone would go through the trouble.
no, the anger comes from giving a logical argument and the believer, whom likely is very intelligent and accomplished, refuses logic when it comes to god. I'm not referring to god's existence, either. I'm referring to the stories of the bible. The only sensible and logical answer to the bible is that they are teaching stories. When a believer starts rationalizing murder and genocide and rape and slavery, etc that gets me angry
"Ralph Peters, a retired Army intelligence officer, has been sounding off about the war in Yugoslavia on National Public Radio, CNN, "Nightline," MSNBC and Fox. ... Now the conflict over Kosovo has given the stage to retired generals and strategic ... host of NPR's "Morning Edition," who has interviewed Peters several times."
I imagine that a lot of people will eat elsewhere instead of CFA because of the owners' anti-LGBT sponsorship.
Are you sure?
We have been discussing and you conveniently ignore scriptures or inject your own back story to discredit what is said clearly.
Probably. I think I was the only person he'd ever been in a relationship with that didn't sh!t all over him. When we broke up the first time, he got with someone else a month later. They got engaged, and she ended up cheating on him. Then the woman he married after that cheated on him as well. I was the one that he didn't have to worry about while he was off doing his military thing.
Not at the moment.
I assume you are not Mormon. :D
And is always provisional. New data can change a theory or even cause it to be replaced with a better one.
Me too. Their reactions lol
