After life was another later development, just as the concept of where God existed and what was the extent of his power. Perhaps even his number.
Atta boy, Donnie, go in completely ignorant, what could possibly go wrong?
For "science". Of course.
You have no evidence that it?s the word of any god.
I?ve been building up a "curriculum" on this very point of view for some time here, and it?s great to see you so confident and self-possessed in it.
Yet another straw man burns brighter than the mind of the originator of that straw man
We?ve learned a lot since primitive humans used their imagination, motivated by their fear and ignorance, to create gods for protection and support, and invented mythologies to explain what their very limited knowledge could not.
What is weak about my post?
You continue to make blanket statements. Tell me exactly what I say,
If you think someone being paid by the opposition is the most credible person to listen to, then you really might have a problem.
The procession through Windsor
A pretty high percent. Islamic indoctrination starts very young, and regimes to ensure memorization of the Qu'ran are strict and continuous throughout child to adult years. Add to that the common practice of isolating a member of the family who leaves the faith, which extends out to all Muslim friends. Muslims tend to be a close knit community, so this would result in some serious trauma.
Lol, hilarious seeing the Trump cult here not even reading one line of the article to find out it's their side putting these posters up.
You bring up a very valid observation/point. Now that I think of it, I know that I've done it. When someone rejects my kids I've said things about the rejecter that isn't right or warranted. I will try to make a conscious effort on letting my kids know that it is ok to be rejected and that it is a learning experience.
I know it well. Islam rose the same way, yet the only kvetching by you's toward Christianity.
Notorious v.a.g. !!! I love this!
Huh? Is there some kind of magic that keeps criminals from crossing the threshold of a furniture store? Are their parking lots crime free bubbles? Crime is everywhere, be vigilante.
I am NOW I wasn't for several weeks.
By "flames" we are talking about the same allegorical flames that Daniel dealt with in that "furnace"? Those "flames" are not literal. It means judgement or something. Daniel survived and was not "burned" because he had a pure heart. Those without a pure heart, faced with judgement, are "burned" (though not literally).
Happy big day Susan!
Full term it can not be an abortion. The only situation I can imagine is one where the baby is dead and some infection or other illness is preventing it coming out the usual way.. I know of a woman who was physically abused by her husband who also punched her stomach., the baby stopped moving. I told her to immediately go to her obgyn dr.She was in full term pregnancy.I don't know what was done. This does sound like murder to me-
MOST liberals are pedophiles? None of my liberal friends seem to be the type. A couple of my friends on the far right seem to be obsessed with young girls, though.
Exactly lol. I?d be listening to ambient sounds and sports podcasts all day
This isn't medical care. It's barbaric.
Hush your blasphemy....
What's the matter, off your meds again?
Determining truth requires a method. If faith can lead to both truth and lies then it is useless as a method to truth. You pretty much proved my point in your comment.
Unfortunately, my husband left my other stepdaughter and me at my SIL's house so he could diffuse the situation at the grandmother's house. Yes, the police had been called.
Seriously? No, it?s knowing Frodo isn?t a real being. You do understand that Middle Earth is imaginary, don?t you?
Good you found it....?? ?? ??
Hinduism isn't a religion and Zeus was a myth, wasn't he?
You?re dishonest then.
Been thinking on it: in Matthew there are those two awful moments (Gethsemane, and on the cross) where... Jesus doesn't want to die. At those moments, divine or not, Jesus is just a man who has no interest in the sacrifice.
Hitch's book, like the religion books Dawkins writes, was polemic. It's meant to piss of religious folks and pat us atheists on the back for our rationality and superiority. You don't read it like it's a sober, academic work on the history of society or the development of religious thought, do you? You dared someone to point out inaccuracies in Hitch's work, and now you're handwaving away any inaccuracies the likes of which, in fact, abound in his work.
And where has insulting them, demeaning them and calling them narmes gotten you to?
