Say it all you want, but time and time again someone goes on the news and debunks this talking point. Btw, Trump's border approach is comparative to Operation Streamline, which was a Bush program.
You've got it, sir. :-)
Ok, I see that your delusional arrogance is impenetrable
Faith is not evidence, and in anything else not religious faith is trust.
You are wrong because you are making an unfounded claim.
I want to know what the endgame was for this lady. Like... what was she hoping to accomplish waiting for the police for 2 hours? She's like the girl in elementary school who wants the teacher to punish the little boy for not using scissors properly. "BUT YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO USE YOUR RIGHT HAND!!!!"
that would have been so awkward. nope. After we made our initial cut and serve to each other, the head of the waitstaff cut the rest and served it to the guests.
"We'll pray to a golden statue of the Monopoly top-hat guy."
Let me break it down for you:
Why would Christians remember Mary? Why would Muslims remember Muhammad? Religions have to tell themselves stories about their foundation, which means telling themselves stories about their founding figures. When they first begin, they are small, and easily disrupted by the outside world. Think of the way Mormons vehemently deny Joseph Smith was a polygamist. They have to be the experts on their founder, and they have to present their founder in such a way that he is acceptable to the outside world.
The RCC is not the only ... branch that claims to be "original". Just to name one, the Orthodox church is as much original as the RCC. The orthodox didn't branch off of the RCC, it was a near equal split. The Great Schism is remarkable in that it wasn't rested in dispute over interpretation of scripture but mainly on dispute over authority.
Hi, thanks for the welcome. Well, if we understand Scripture in the way it is written, and take the words as they were spoken, then '...to the end of time' means, the end of this worldly existence (in which we experience life in terms of 'time'). At the Ascension, we are told that He will come back, which is in a universal way, as mentioned by another poster, with the use of the Book of Revelation, and acknowledgment of the Final Judgement, whereby there is the separation of (figurative) sheep and goats; in fact, 'universal' does make sense in this context, because just as we experience faith in an individual, personal way, we are also a collective, a Church, a family, a Body of people, and all have to be gathered.
As a working physicist, I agree. My favorite Feynman quote is:"
I'm glad you looked up the UCC statement of faith. I agree it is progressive. That may not be a compliment in your world but out here on the Left Coast it is. I also agree progressive and doctrinal don't work well together. The UCC is decidedly non-doctrinal.
You present it as if incredible numbers of people are working, almost permanently, on this "minimum wage," and they are impoverished and suffering.
There is an asymmetry, though. While the scientific method does not strictly exclude any intelligible model, the anti-theist militants actually *do* exclude intelligible models.
Yes, they need more men in that field but it's one that draws women.
We'll refinance in about ten years to a 15 year conventional, but we're FHA right now
I get it. You're the crazy uncle in every family that makes everyone else dread Thanksgiving dinner.
Many of the ones you listed are about labor issues and contractual disputes rather than the practice of religion...of course one can hear of a lower court ruling and not hear about the reversal of that decision. Like for example the woman who burned her leg with Mc Donald's Coffee. The initial decision granted her a lot of money and later on in a much less publicized fashion that amount was drastically lowered.
Except that you can't point to a single time in human history where this "objective" approach was actual used by real people.
Not a single credible link to be found, little girl.
Because Gods divine son came onto earth and died by Crucifixion under the order of roman prefect Pontius Pilate under the roman emperor Tiberius and then three days later they found that the tomb was empty, and then the risen Jesus appeared to his followers. Amen
Bewbs are always the problem
What is "real"?
Out of curiosity, what sorts of things do you start to doubt or question when you're in that 99% mode? Or is it more an undefinable uncertainty that makes you think 100% is too strong?
This is certainly true if one looks at the variety pack of churches out there. I may even get a private jet to 'spread the word'
